Spring Drug Take Back Day

Drug Take Back Day is a biannual (and international!) community event designed to give residents Wood County Residents a safe and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired medications, helping prevent misuse, accidental ingestion, and environmental contamination. The Wood County Addiction Task Force participates in and hosts this event in alignment with International Drug Take Back Day to support safer households, reduce access to potentially harmful substances, and promote environmental protection through proper disposal practices.

  • Please drive up to the tent in Wooster Green to drop off any unused or expired prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medications.

    • Prescription medications

    • Over‑the‑counter medications

    • Pet medications

    • Pills, tablets, capsules

    NOTE: Please remove medication from its packaging and place it in a ziplock bag prior to arrival. This helps our officer to properly dispose of the medication!

    • Needles / sharps

  • At each Drug Take Back Event the Wood County Addiction Task Force comes with FREE giveaway items for every participant (while supplies last)!
