Wood County Suicide Prevention Coalition
What is the WCSPC?
The Wood County Suicide Prevention Coalition is a group of individuals from various backgrounds who collaborate to address suicide prevention. Their efforts focus on raising awareness and educating the public about the importance of recognizing suicide as a public health issue rather than a personal stigma.
The Coalition works to foster a greater understanding of depression, mental illness, and substance abuse as treatable conditions. They aim to challenge misconceptions and reduce the stigma surrounding these issues, which can often prevent people from seeking help during difficult times.
